THE EXPERIENCE

Angst always starts as a mundane scenario where supernatural things are seemingly not part of the LARP.

As the LARP progresses the horror elements will start to creep in and will start to have effect on the characters attending.

You as a player will be able to create and experience the buildup to a crescendo and a climax.

It will be up to you how your character will deal with the things we will throw at you. Will you try to keep people on their feet or will you claw out your eyes after seeing something incomprehensible by the human brain.

We will subtly influence our players but will leave a very large margin of freedom in how you, as a player, wish to portray or progress during the larp.

The larp will end in a climax where the group will 99% surely succumb to madness and cosmic horror.

During this LARP players are free to use fake blood (provided!) at their leisure but only on themselves and/or their costume.

What to find and what not to find in Angst

Things you might experience in this larp:

Cosmic horror of epic proportions that will wipe out humanity.
The option to dive into a pre-written character, make it your own and explore the story.
An environment where players play to lift and conflict is initiated on a play to lose base.
Personal drama where your character will find out dirty secrets that will shock them to their core.
Personal descent into madness: we will carefully observe characters and tune in to their descent.
Group descent into madness: All players will slowly grow mad within the same theme.
Try to reach your personal goals which differ and might be fair or rotten to the core.
Compete with family or rivals for attention of your betters or money.
Try to help people close to you from going utterly insane.
Make deals with people (or things) you hate to save yourself.
A web of (family) drama which comes close to a Mexican telenovella (okay, not that close).
Subtle briefings to steer you to slow descent at your own pace.
A maddening end scene.

WHAT HAPPENS AT ANGST

In this weekend we will take you back to a fictitious time period in a fictitious alternative Belgium.

A fictitious world where emancipation is a fact and men and women are equal.

It is an exploration of your character, which will slowly end up in a situation nobody is ready for. You are free to explore how your character reacts to this situation and deals with gruesome realizations.
